My name is Stefano Epiney
I live in Pontey with my wife Elisa. I belong to the Società Guide del Cervino. I work in all the Aosta Valley mountain range and I practice a lot of activities related to climbing and the mountain. I do my job consistently and it challenges me every day.
I am working in the field of education of the new alpine guides, that allows me to measure with younger alpine guides and also it keeps me updates with the latest climbing and mountain trends.
With my work I try to convey at my students all my technical and cultural background and also the basis of being a good alpine guide.
Besides the mountain another of my great passion is paragliding.

- Ski alp in Iceland, Corsican, Spain, Greece, Canada and other wonderful places over the alps.
- Ice Climbing in Canada.
- I Climbed all over the alps, in the US (El Capitan and Half Dome), in Africa (Mount Kenya, Kilimangiaro, Tharanoro), Nepal (Dhaulagiri until 7300 m, summit of Everest and Island Peak).
- Trekking in Nepal and Perù
- Canyoning in Trento, Switzerland and France.
- Paragliding in India and Brasil.
- Instructor of mountain rescue in Perù.
- I guided the pope Giovanni Paolo II over some glaciers.
